My Precious Metals Guide

My Precious Metals Guide

All my Joseph Lamsin Jewellery is made using ethically sourced and recycled precious metals of the finest quality.

Each item of jewellery is individually assayed and hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office in England.

Joseph Lamsin items are made to last with a substantial thickness and weight to them, and all connections are soldered closed.

My Sterling Silver

My Sterling Silver

All my silver items are made from solid recycled sterling silver, and each item is individually assayed and hallmarked.

Sterling silver is 925 parts per thousand silver, with the remaining 75 parts being other metals (usually copper) to add strength for everyday wear.

Sterling silver is a naturally white and bright metal.

My 18ct Gold Vermeil

My 18ct Gold Vermeil

My gold vermeil jewellery is made from solid recycled sterling silver with a thick layer of recycled 18ct gold applied to the surface. Each item is individually assayed and hallmarked before the gold is applied.

To be considered vermeil, the gold must be at least 10ct and be at least 2.5 micrometres thick on top of solid sterling silver. My 18ct gold vermeil is produced to the highest of standard within the UK.
