This UK handmade necklace is available in either solid sterling silver or 18ct gold vermeil on solid sterling silver, and is fully hallmarked.

The designer pendant measures 12mm top to bottom and 11mm across the widest section, the real freshwater cultured round pearl is 5.5mm diameter. The handmade pendant comes on an adjustable length chain which can be worn at either 16 or 18 inches (40 or 45 cm).

This designer necklace is from the 'Marazion' collection inspired by and named after the Cornish coastal town of Marazion. Marazion is the gateway to the famous Saint Michael's Mount, which can be seen from the JL workshop. The coastal environment plus the lifestyle it brings has formed JL's founder Matthew's approach to jewellery design. Items from the 'Marazion' collection reflect the sea's continual transformation on the Cornish coastline.

This UK handmade pendant has been created by Matthew in his workshop in Newlyn Cornwall, using seawater to determine the appearance. Matthew has melted sterling silver and then poured the molten metal into a bucket of seawater, shaping and texturing the metal as it solidifies. This process has been repeated many times, until Matthew has got the desired shape for the pendant design. A mould is then made of this shape so the designer necklace can be re-produced, and handmade to the highest standard in the UK.
