Oval encased designer pearl necklace created in Cornwall by Joseph Lamsin Jewellery; made using the sea to organically shape and texture the design.

This UK handmade pearl necklace is available in either solid sterling silver or 18ct gold vermeil on solid sterling silver, and is fully hallmarked.

The designer pearl pendant measures approximately 18mm by 15mm with a real oval freshwater cultured pearl, and comes on an adjustable length chain which can be worn at either 16 or 18 inches (40 or 45 cm).

This designer pearl necklace is from the 'Sennen' collection inspired by and named after Sennen Cove in Cornwall. Sennen Cove is just one mile northeast of Land's End, and is a short drive from the JL workshop. The coastal environment plus the lifestyle it brings has formed JL's founder Matthew's approach to jewellery design. Items from the 'Sennen' collection reflect the sea's continual transformation on the Cornish coastline.

This UK handmade pearl pendant has been created by Matthew in his workshop in Newlyn Cornwall, using seawater to determine the appearance. Matthew has melted sterling silver and then poured the molten metal into a bucket of seawater, shaping and texturing the metal as it solidifies. This process has been repeated many times, until Matthew has got the desired shape to form the pearl pendant design. A mould is then made of this shape so the designer pearl necklace can be re-produced, and handmade to the highest standard in the UK.
