The designer pearl earrings measure 13mm diameter with real 4.5mm round freshwater cultured pearls, hung from hook wire fittings.

These designer pearl earrings are from the 'Marazion' collection inspired by and named after the Cornish coastal town of Marazion. Marazion is the gateway to the famous Saint Michael's Mount, which can be seen from the JL workshop. The coastal environment plus the lifestyle it brings has formed JL's founder Matthew's approach to jewellery design, and items from the 'Marazion' collection reflect the sea's continual transformation on the Cornish coastline.

These UK handmade pearl earrings have been created by Matthew in his workshop in Newlyn Cornwall, using seawater to determine the appearance. Matthew has melted sterling silver and then poured the molten metal into a bucket of seawater, shaping and texturing the metal as it solidifies. This process has been repeated many times, until Matthew has got the desired shapes for the pearl earring design. Moulds are then made of these shapes so the designer pearl earrings can be re-produced, and handmade to the highest standard in the UK.
